    Join 2–20 PDFs into one file named merged.pdf. Each file on this page is capped at 20 MB in the picker. Each source may have up to 300 pages. Order is the list order—there is no drag-to-reorder.

    How pages are appended

    The server copies pages in list order. If a file uses a structure the primary merger cannot read, it retries with a second method that still produces a PDF but may drop bookmarks, forms, and comments. Passworded files fail until unlocked.

    1. Add at least two PDFs; remove extras from the list.
    2. Merge and download the combined file.

    How many PDFs can I merge at once?

    Between 2 and 20 files in a single merge, and each source PDF may contain up to 300 pages.

    How do I control the page order?

    Files are merged in the order they appear in the list, which follows the order you selected them. There is no drag-to-reorder step, so add the files one at a time in the sequence you want, or prefix their names with numbers and select them together.

    Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

    No. A protected file cannot be read for merging. Remove the password first with our lock and unlock tool, then merge the unprotected copy.

    Will form fields and bookmarks survive the merge?

    Ordinary text and graphics come through faithfully, but merging rebuilds each page into a new document, so interactive elements such as form fields, some annotations, bookmarks and embedded scripts may not be preserved.

    Can I merge Word files or images?

    Not directly. Only PDF files can be merged. Convert other formats to PDF first; our image to PDF tool handles pictures.

    Are my files uploaded?

    Yes. Merging is done on our server, so your files are uploaded. They are used only to build the merged document and are not kept as part of a permanent user file library. See our Privacy Policy for details.
